Halls Open August 20, 2009 at 9:00 AM
Due to the huge effort required to safely coordinate staff and resources for the arrival of nearly 6,000 residents, NO EARLY ARRIVALS will be allowed into the residence halls. Do not arrive at the residence halls before your appointed move-in date or time. Early move-ins cannot be accomodated. If you must travel to Boulder ahead of your assigned move-in date, plan to stay at a local hotel until your assigned move-in time.

On heavy move-in days, August 20-22, 2009, special unloading areas will be designated around the residence halls. Parking and Transportation Services personnel will be on hand to direct traffic, and resident advisor staff will assist you in moving your belongings. The service loading dock area of each building may be used for temporary parking while unloading only. Parking at loading docks is strictly limited to 15 minutes. The regular parking lots located near the residence halls for longer term parking will be open during the heavy move-in days, and no permit will be required. All parking meters will be operational during the move-in period, so plan to feed them if you park there. Handicap accessible parking is designated around all halls and you must always display an appropriate placard.
Your Buff OneCard will function as an electronic access card that operates outside entrances and interior security doors in the residence halls. Some halls accommodate access to rooms electronically and others use metal keys.
The best way to ensure your safety and to protect your belongings is to lock your room any time you leave it (even just to go down the hall). This is especially important during move-in and checkout times when there are many people in and around the hall. For this reason, you should carry your key/access card with you at all times.
Your first bill will be available on CUConnect at https://cuconnect.colorado.edu. It will be due by September 2, 2009. This bill will be for housing, tuition, and fees. If you have questions about the housing portion of your bill, contact the Housing Finance office in 76 Hallett Hall, 303-492-3315.
If you know or find out that you will not be coming to CU-Boulder, you need to submit a written cancellation of your housing reservation directly to 75 Hallett Hall, Boulder, CO 80310 as soon as possible, or send e-mail to reservations@colorado.edu. For more information call 303-492-6673. You will also need to notify the Office of Admissions, 303-492-6301. top
